The economic instability
experienced in our today’s society has made so many people emasculate and turn
some of our leaders voiceless. Party affiliation has caused a great harm in the
society; people no longer see themselves as one, threats of death from
anonymous to media practitioners.
Taking a survey around my constituency
(ETHIOPE), I came out with these findings.
1. Emasculate
leaders, especially the ones that have gone extinct, now lacks leadership
ability
2. No cordial relationship between current
leaders and their people
3. The
media has become a threat to some leaders that are not doing well in their
offices.
Building a better society needs a
leader that has the people in heart, a leader with responsive ability, not the
one that easily demonstrates irresponsive-ability by giving consent to external
factors.
Our society yearns good and
qualitative leadership; this will never be achieved if we do not have a healthy
attitude towards selection.
Against all odds, Ethiope
Constituency has produced so many great leaders who have done well at both the
National and State level, and are still doing well even while they are no
longer in office. Among these great leaders is one of our own “tested and
trusted” Hon. Ben Rolland Igbakpa.
A man that carries his people in
his heart, a motivator that drives with the people’s vision by bringing them into
reality.
Nearly all men can stand
adversity, but if you want to test a man’s character give him power. He has been tested and passed very well; his
past administration as Hon. House of Assembly Member and Commissioner for transportation
still speaks aloud. He is a reliable personality, a man who listens a lot to
his people and has great love for humanity. He values every of his people’s opinion,
he is a grass root leader.
There is need to give him full
support for a better representative of his people at the green chamber because
his purpose is clear.
