The exercise, which was conducted on consensus arrangement was peaceful. Executives of the party at the ward level were elected during the exercise, stakeholders and party faithfuls present described the exercise as peaceful and heartwarming.
Disagreements were resolved before the exercise, hence the rancour free and resounding success recorded in the ward.
Also, the party returning officer, Mr. Ofenor, commended party members for the successful conduct of the exercise.
He said "As a party that respects due process and committed to internal democracy," we welcome the choices made by delegates during the ward congress. "It is part of the several efforts we are taking as a party to strengthen our support base at the grassroots and also build a formidable party that is ready to take over power from the clueless All Progressives Congress administration," he added.
The party expressed appreciation to the leaders, elders and relevant stakeholders within the party, for their contributions towards the successful conduct of the ward congress.
