ETHIOPE YOUTHS THROW THEIR MONUMENTAL WEIGHT BEHIND GOV. OKOWA AND HON. IGBAKPA

Oghara, a popular tranquil town in Delta state was enthralled on Saturday 16th June, 2018, by a massive crowd of disciplined supporters endorsing Governor Ifeanyi Okowa in his bid for second term as Governor, and the illustrious Hon. Ben Rolland Igbakpa for the House of representatives seat of Ethiope Federal Constituency.

The coalition of supporters, under the fortress of Ben Igbakpa Political Forum (BIPOF), ably led by the Comrade Favour Ededey, the President of Oghara Youth Association (OYA), echoed and outlined the need for the delegates of the People's Democratic Party (PDP), to ensure they conform with the already established formula for the designation of political positions. He pinpointed the allotmentment system within the PDP, which allocated a maximum of eight years each Ethiope East and Ethiope West Local Government Areas in the scrabble for House of Representatives seat. He said: "We have a common sharing formula in Ethiope Federal Constituency. Under the platform of the PDP, Ethiope West got it first and served 8 years through Hon. Halims Aguda. The following 8 years was served by Ethiope East, who are coming to end of their allocation. We are now demanding that the opportunity returns to Ethiope West from 2019 for another 8 years."

He further rationalised the massive show of support for the individuals they campaign for. For Hon. Igbakpa, he said, "we have tested him to before, he performed very well, and we want him again. He's a legislator to the core."

Although without a political position since 2015, Hon. Igbakpa's reputation continues to grow in leaps and bounds across Ethiope Federal Constituency. He continues to maintain the confidence of his people through devoted acts of philanthropy and support to most of their concerns.

The decision of the well-meaning supporters to lend their backing is a momentous occasion towards the affirmation of the credibility of the incumbent Governor of the state and front-line  aspirant for the House of Assembly seat.
